Konstantina Karydi

Konstantina Karydi is a political scientist with a specialization on European Affairs, Civil Society and democratization with a special focus in the region of SE Europe. She holds an MSc on European Public Policy from the University College London (UCL) and she is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Athens, Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration. Since 2008 she has been working in ELIAMEP as a Junior Research Fellow and until March 2013 she was Editorial Assistant in the peer-reviewer Journal of SE European & Black Sea Studies. She is co-founder of the European youth NGO Balkans Beyond Borders. As part of her work she has conducted research on the degree of Openness of Parliaments in Greece and the SE Europe, on the role of think tanks in policy-making, and has participated in the realization of the Jean-Monnet program of the University of Piraeus “Bringing Europe to School Teachers” (B.E.S.T.). She has taken part in a number of conferences and seminars as speaker and participant in Greece and abroad.
