Eurostat/Euro area international trade in goods surplus €28.6 bn/95/2016 – 17 May 2016
The first estimate for euro area (EA19) exports of goods to the rest of the world in March 2016 was €177.8 billion, a decrease of 3% compared with March 2015 (€182.8 bn). Imports from the rest of the world stood at €149.2 bn, a fall of 8% compared with March 2015 (€162.9 bn). As a result, the euro area recorded a €28.6 bn surplus in trade in goods with the rest of the world in March 2016, compared with +€19.9 bn in March 2015. Intra-euro area trade fell to €149.3 bn in March 2016, down by 2% compared with March 2015.
